What it covers
Radiators, hoses, water pumps, thermostats, fans and head gaskets all sit in the same circuit. A cooling fault can be a ten dollar hose or a failed head gasket, and pressure testing is what separates the two.
Signs you need it
- Temperature gauge climbing above its normal position
- Coolant loss with no obvious puddle
- Sweet smell or steam from the engine bay
- Heater blowing cold when the engine is warm
- White smoke from the exhaust
What we do
- System pressure tested to find leaks under real operating pressure
- Radiator, hoses, cap and water pump inspected
- Thermostat operation and fan function tested
- Coolant condition and concentration checked
- Combustion gas test where a head gasket is suspected
- Coolant flushed and refilled to the correct specification

Common questions
Can I just top it up with water?
As an emergency to get somewhere safe, yes. As a fix, no — water alone has a lower boiling point, no corrosion inhibitor, and it hides the leak that caused the loss.
Is it safe to keep driving if it only overheats sometimes?
No. Intermittent overheating usually becomes constant, and by then the damage is often to the head or gasket rather than the cooling system.
