What it covers
A scan tool reads the codes your car has stored. That is the start of a diagnosis, not the end of one — the same code can be caused by a sensor, a hose, wiring or a mechanical fault. We test to find which, so you are not paying for parts that were never the problem.
Signs you need it
- The check engine light is on, or flashing
- The car is in limp mode or down on power
- Rough idle, hesitation, misfire or hard starting
- Fuel economy has dropped noticeably
- ABS, traction control or airbag warning lights are lit
What we do
- Full scan of engine, transmission, ABS and airbag systems
- Live data recorded while the fault is happening
- Physical testing to confirm the cause before anything is replaced
- A plain-English explanation of what is wrong and what it will take
- Quote provided before repairs begin

Common questions
A parts shop scanned it for free — why pay?
A free scan reads the code. It does not test whether the sensor named in that code is faulty or just reporting a genuine problem elsewhere. Replacing on a code alone is how people end up buying two or three parts to fix one fault.
Is a flashing engine light urgent?
Yes. A flashing light usually indicates a misfire severe enough to damage the catalytic converter. Stop driving and ring us.
